What Ashleigh Is Up To Now

 For Ashleigh Kennealy, rock music has never been about standing still.

After performing with San Diego punk cover band Sideshow, San Francisco Bay Area cover band Stepback, and fronting San Diego original metal band Door 13, Ashleigh is stepping into an exciting new chapter that brings together live performance, recording, songwriting, and a little life at sea.

Currently, Ashleigh can be found onstage with San Diego Party Band, bringing the soundtrack of the ’90s and 2000s to life through electrifying three-hour sets packed with the rock anthems and sing-along favorites that keep audiences out of their seats and on the dance floor.

She is also lending her vocals to 2000s recording artist Papercut Massacre, joining the band for its return to the stage and making her debut with them at Hollywood’s legendary Whisky a Go Go on June 28, 2026, as the supporting act for Finger Eleven.

At the same time, Ashleigh is turning her attention toward her own music. She is currently writing and recording her debut solo album, an indie-rock project that gives her the opportunity to bring her own musical identity, influences, voice, and perspective to the forefront.

And then there is her next stage.

In December of 2026, Ashleigh will temporarily trade the West Coast music circuit for the high seas when she joins the entertainment crew aboard Virgin Voyages’ Scarlet Lady for a five-month contract. But don't mistake the change of scenery for a break from rock and roll.

As the female vocalist and pianist, Ashleigh will take center stage in RockShowKe, Virgin Voyages’ live rock-and-roll karaoke experience. Twice each voyage, she will help turn the ship into a full-scale interactive rock show, with one night celebrating classic rock and another diving into the music of the ’90s and surrounding era with all the favorites you have come to love from Ashleigh.

It is a fitting next adventure for a performer whose career has never fit neatly into a single box.

From punk and metal to indie rock, party-band favorites, original music, musical theatre, piano, and now performing at sea, Ashleigh continues to build a career around one constant: connecting with an audience through powerful, fearless live performance.

The venue may be changing, but the volume isn't coming down anytime soon.
